If it does not work
QR code not readable?
- Crop so that all four corners of the QR code are visible and add it again.
- For a QR code on screen, zoom in and take the screenshot again.
- For a photo, retake it straight on in good light.
FAQ
Can't I just scan it with the camera?
A QR code shown on your own screen, or inside a photo you received, cannot be scanned with the same phone. Add a screenshot instead.
Why does the link not open automatically?
The address inside a QR code is hidden, so we show where it goes first and let you open it yourself. If the address looks unfamiliar, it is safer not to open it. An address written without https, like "www.example.com", is treated as a link and opened over https.
It cannot read the QR code.
Make sure the QR code is not cut off and all four corners are visible; zoom in and capture it again. Glare or blur can make it unreadable.
Does it handle Wi-Fi, contact and calendar QR codes?
Yes. Wi-Fi shows the network name and password, contacts show name, phone and email, events show the title and time, and map locations show latitude and longitude. Nothing is connected or saved automatically.
About this tool
