If it does not work
Size not right?
- Turn off "Fit to page" on the printer and print at "Actual size".
- Photo printers trim the edges slightly. Use only the area inside the cutting marks.
- If the photo size is larger than the paper, choose a larger paper such as A4.
FAQ
Which size should I choose?
3.5×4.5cm is common for passports, ID cards, driver's licences and résumés (in Korea and elsewhere); 3×4cm is a smaller wallet size; the US visa size is 5.1×5.1cm (2×2 in). Requirements vary by office, so check their guidance first. For a size not listed, use 'Custom' and enter millimetres.
How many fit on one sheet?
On 4×6 photo paper, 8 photos at 3.5×4.5cm or 9 at 3×4cm; on A4, 30 at 3.5×4.5cm. A 3mm edge is left blank, and the spacing and orientation are chosen automatically.
The face is cut off.
If the photo ratio differs from the size, it is cropped from the center. Change "Face position" to top or bottom, or crop the photo close to the target ratio in your photo app first.
The printed size is wrong.
In the printer settings, print at "Actual size" and turn off "Fit to page". The PDF includes the paper size, which makes home printing easier. For a photo kiosk or convenience store, hand over the JPG as is.
About this tool
A tool that crops an ID photo to a standard ratio such as 3.5×4.5cm, fits as many copies as possible onto 4×6 photo paper or A4, adds cutting marks, and downloads it as JPG or PDF. Print it at actual size at a photo kiosk, convenience store or on a home printer. Neither the photo nor the result is sent to a server or stored. Everything is processed on this device.
